In-House-Training-Process

In-House Training Process

Opus Security maintains a structured training, certification, and compliance program designed to ensure that all security officers are properly prepared prior to assignment and remain compliant with training and certification requirements. Training is delivered in-person and documented to support consistency and audit readiness. Our approach combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on exposure to site operations.
All newly hired or newly assigned officers are required to complete their training prior to independent assignment.

  • Emergency response procedures,

  • Reporting and Systems Training
  • Shadowing experienced security officers at assigned locations

Refresher Training Focus Areas

  • Policy updates and procedural changes
  • Review of incident trends, complaints, and client feedback

  • Professional conduct and customer service expectations
  • Reinforcement of reporting and documentation standards

Supervisor / Management Training

Our comprehensive Supervisor and Management Training program equips leadership personnel with the essential skills and knowledge required to effectively manage teams, maintain high operational standards, and ensure professional service delivery. The program covers the following areas:
  • Recruiting, screening, and interviewing qualified candidates
  • Onboarding and orientation processes for new employees
  • New employee training and development requirements
  • Incident documentation, reporting standards, and procedures
  • Employee performance management, discipline, and corrective action
  • Effective communication and professional interaction protocols with staff, clients, tenants, and visitors
  • Harassment and sexual harassment prevention (in-depth training)
  • Scenario-based training for handling workplace incidents, employee issues, emergencies, and site-specific situations
